Performance Analysis of Three Routing Protocols in Mobile Ad Hoc Wireless Networks

Authors : M. Lakshmi and P.E. Sankaranarayanan

Abstract: An Ad hoc mobile network is a collection of mobile nodes that are capable of changing on a continual basis. In order to facilitate communication within a network, a routing protocol is used to discover routes between nodes. The primary goal of an ad hoc network routing protocol is to establish correct and efficient route between two nodes so that message may be delivered in time. In this study we have studied the performance of three routing protocols (DSDV, DSR and AODV) and evaluated its performance based on a given set of parameters. Here we presented the characteristics and functionality of all three protocols and the comparison.
