MPEG Video Steganography: High Order I-frame Bit Seeding Method

Authors : Murtadha Kamil Kadhim and Dr. Lamiaa Hafiz Khalid

Abstract: In this study, a new technique for hiding information in MPEG Video streams is proposed. The Steganography scheme operates directly in MPEG de-multiplexed streams.Insertion Patterns are used during the embedding process inorder to preserve the quality of the video. The Steganography data is embedded in the de-multiplexed domain (frames) and detected without the use of the original video.Experimental evaluation demonstrate that the proposed scheme is able to withstand a variety of attacks such as compression, cropping. The resulted system is reasonable in speed if compared with equivalent systems with the same purpose, and suitable for the use in variety of video systems. In this study, a novel de-multiplexed domain steganography scheme is presented. Embedding and Detection the data are performed with or without the need to full de-multiplexing the stream, which makes this way is also suiTable for other data – hiding purposes.
