Chinese, Korean, and Japanese Translation of English Electronic Meeting Comments

Authors : Milam Aiken , Sang Kim and Mahesh Vanjani

Abstract: Many studies have shown that electronic meetings can improve the effectiveness and efficiency of groups needing to share ideas. However, most of these meetings are conducted in a single language. With the increase in global business, travel, and communication, there is a need to accommodate multiple languages, and integrating machine translation with these electronic meetings may enable multilingual groups to benefit from this technology. This paper explores the use of computers for translation of English meeting comments into Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.
