Abstract: Every Day Every Where Computing`- is the theme of Ubiquitous Computing and a seamless town is a ubiquitous environment which supports context-awareness computing facility among multiple appliances with an appropriate flexible user interfaces for flawless communication. In future, there will be the explosion of network capable computing devices that will communicate with each other seamlessly to simplify our lives. To interconnect the heterogeneous devices there must be a protocol or notion of standardized service that will act as the middle layer between these appliances. The study proposes a XML based middle layer for the seamless town which is a unique proposal in the context of ubiquitous environment. This study also defines the infrastructure of a seamless town.
