Abstract: This research paper studied the relationship between urban land use and the impacts of socio-economic activities on the land-use pattern in Warri area of Delta State, Nigeria. it also predicts the changes in land use by December in the year 2006. the area measurements of the various land uses were made by the use of square grids, with a graph sheet with grid squares made up of 25 cells from a Black and White aerial photographs at a scale of 1:10,000 obtained from the Federal Ministry of Land and Surveys and SPOT Multispectral (RGB) of 1994 on a scale of 1:50,000.
