It emphasizes the features of age dynamics of the indicators of programming and control function connected speech as well as other parameters of speech development that are determined by delay in the formation of certain brain structures and higher mental functions. The necessity of early neuropsychological diagnostics and focused psychological-pedagogical intervention in the context of formation of junior preschoolers’ regulatory and speech functions is argued.
