Abstract: Drawing on leadership theory and social exchange theory, the study investigated the mediating role of Intrinsic Motivation (IM) between the relationship Empowering Leadership (EL) and Employee Creativity (EC) in the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). The current study adopted SEM to test the study’s hypothesis. A sample of 505 employees in the ADNOC was selected randomly. On this representative sample a survey was carried out to find out the extent of EL and IM influence on EC. After testing the direct relationships the researcher had conducted indirect relationships measurements such as the impact of EL on EC via. IM. All the study’s hypothesis were supported. Finally, theoretical and managerial implications were discussed.
