Determination of Lethal Concentration of Some Insecticides to Honey Bee Apis mellifera (Apidae, Hymenoptera) with Laboratory Biossays

Abstract: The study, efficacy of three insecticides including Carbaryl, Carbosulfan and Methiocarb were evaluated in laboratory bioassays and lethal concentrations were determined against honeybee adults. The highest toxicity based on LC₅₀ values was observed in carbosulfan (1.3 mg AI L^-1). The LC₅₀’s (mg AI L^-1) for methiocarb and carbaryl in topical application method were 65.9 and 71.7, respectively.
