Abstract: The interaction effect of gender on computer-mediated communication and risky sexual behaviours seems to have been neglected. The current study sought to determine how gender mediate the relationship between computer-mediated communication and risky sexual behaviours among engineering students in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria (N = 830) expost facto design. Two instruments, namely; Student’s Use of Computer-Mediated Communication (SAUCMCQ) and Student’s Risky Sexual Behaviours Questionnaire (SARSBQ) were used for data collection in the study. The data collected were analysed using hierarchical multiple regression. The results indicated that the gender significantly mediates the relationship between computer-mediated communication and risky sexual behaviour among engineering students.
