Working Capital Financing and Entrepreneurship Development: Evidence from the Indian Stock Market

Abstract: The main objective of this study is to ascertain the impact of working capital management on selected company’s performance in National Stock Exchange in India. In this study, employed various variables for analysis of working capital management to explores select company’s performance. To assess the impact of working capital financing on entrepreneurship business development in India by employing retrospective research design and data analyses of selected companies based on the financial statements for the periods of 4 years ranging from 2014-2017. To examine the company’s authentication through the statistical analysis of descriptive and multiple regression analysis were employed. The present study ascertained that there is a significant positive coefficient amongst working capital financing with the support of variables namely: inventory management, receivable management, payable management and cash management and entrepreneurship development in India. The results of the statistical analysis exhibited R2 = 0.661, adjusted R2 = 0.633, F = 23.411. Consequently, this study concluded that appropriate working capital financing facilitate entrepreneurship development in India. Furthermore, this study suggested to business entrepreneurs and stakeholders need to administer appropriate working capital components for successful business development.
