Abstract:
Dear colleague,
It is my great pleasure to introduce the first issue of the IJSSCEA. The first
issue is composed of eleven papers, which covers the recent developments in
Systems, Signal and Control. Particularly, there are nine invited papers (two
tutorial papers and seven research papers) contributed by the internationally
recognized researchers in Control Systems and Signals. The list of the invited
papers is as follows:
1. B. S. Chen and Y. T. Chang, A Survey on H8 Robust Stabilization and Filtering
Design in Control, Signal Processing, Communications, Systems and Synthetic
Biology (Invited Tutorial Paper)
2. U. D. Dwivedi, D. Shakya and S. N. Singh, Power Quality Monitoring and Analysis:
An Overview and Key Issues (Invited Tutorial Paper)
3. K. Najarian, R. DeMott II and J. Cooper, Automatic Target Recognition and
Classification in Aerial Photography (Invited Research Paper)
4. W. Assawinchaichote, S. K. Nguang and P. Shi, Synthesis of An LMI-Based Robust
H8 Fuzzy Filter for Uncertain Nonlinear Dynamic Systems (Invited Research Paper)
5. C. Olsson and A. Medvedev, Saturation-Induced Limit Cycles in Observer-Based
State Feedback (Invited Research Paper)
6. B. M. Al-Hadithi, F. Matia and A. Jimenez, Robustness of Fuzzy Variable Structure
Controllers (Invited Research Paper)
7. C. D. Pathiranage, K. Watanabe and K. Izumi, Fuzzy Kalman Filtering of the
SLAM Problem using Pseudo-linear Models with Two-Sensor Data Association (Invited
Research Paper)
8. S. C. Banik, K. Watanabe and K. Izumi Generation of Cooperative Behavior
of Robots Using a Fuzzy-Markov Emotional Model (Invited Research Paper)
9. M. Vlcek and P. Zahradnik, Design of Narrow Band FIR Filters (Invited Research
Paper)
The content of the first issue ranges from stabilization and control, estimation and filtering, fuzzy control, robust control, variable control, target recognition, robot analysis, and power quality monitoring. It is an international level issue indeed, which represents a great start for the IJSSCEA.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank all the contributions from the authors, the editorial aboard, the advisory aboard, and the production management department. It is the desire of the editorial board to keep a high-quality level for the IJSSCEA in systems, signal and control community.
Sincerely yours,
Zhiwei Gao (Dr.)
